Wellness

Feeling yucky without a cause

No “get up and go” after getting up

Irritability with one’s self or others, routinely

Muddled or scattered thinking

It is time to do something different. Make a change. A good place to start is balancing the body.

I focus on your wellness – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

I use Oriental Medicine with Blood Chemistry Analysis, as well as other tools, to screen and identify imbalances in the body.   Imbalances in the body metabolism can cause you to feel lousy without any outward signs.

By using a combination of life style adjustment, diet, exercise, Chinese herbs, homeopathic remedies, and acupuncture, you will find your stride in life again.

My Mission:

Help you feel good in the activities you do and give you the tools to make your life enjoyable without spending precious time in the waiting room.

Treatment Information

Wellness treatments are scheduled as needed. Depending on your level of uncomfortableness with your condition, treatments could be daily for a few days, twice a week, weekly or biweekly. Allow 120 minutes for the first visit which includes a consultation and treatment. Follow up treatments allow 70 minutes.

The cost of the first visit which includes the consultation and treatment is $120.00. Follow up treatments are $75.00 per visit. Please print and complete the Patient Form, Consent Form, Mineral, Metabolic, and Neurotransmitter forms and bring them with you at your first appointment.

At this time, insurance does not cover the cost of the treatments.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is among the oldest healing practices in the world. As part of Traditional Oriental Medicine, acupuncture aims to restore and maintain health through the stimulation of specific points on the body that allow the basic energy of the body to unstick and flow. By flowing the energy of the body, pain, fatigue and disease fade from the body.

One type of acupuncture method is Esoteric Acupuncture.

Esoteric Acupuncture

Illness in the body occurs when discord registers in the feeling world of an individual. Esoteric Acupuncture dissolves the discord in the feelings which in turn removes the hindrance from the body to heal. Once the body is healed of the dis-ease/illness, Esoteric Acupuncture, when used regularly, increases the vibratory rate of the body, thus allowing the individual to achieve greater energy and clarity in daily affairs.

Chinese Herbology

Herbology is another important modalities used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Each herbal medicine prescription is a cocktail of several herbs tailored to the individual patient. When you take herbs on a regular basis, it is similar to having a daily acupuncture treatment. Though raw herbs are available in which you can boil them at home for a fresh brew each time you need to drink them, I prefer using granulated herbs for the simplicity of taking the formula.

One area that Chinese Herbs work well is if you have an autoimmune disorder or multiple chemical sensitivities.

Autoimmune Disorders and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities

Autoimmune disorders and multiple chemical sensitivities are common clinical disorders that are often inadequately diagnosed and treated by conventional pharmaceuticals. Drug toxicity and long-term side effects of anti-inflammatory medications can limit positive responses to healing in many cases. The use of Chinese herbal medicines for these diseases is supported by the pharmacological research literature that demonstrates regulatory effects on immune functions, including such therapeutic targets as interferons, interleukins, and tumor necrosis factor.

Nutritional Counseling

…“The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.” -Thomas Edison

…“Our food should be our medicine and our medicine should be our food.” – Hippocrates

On his deathbed, Dr. Louis Pasteur, the creator of the germ theory, stated, “The germ is nothing. The terrain is everything.” Which means, changing the environment of the body, reduces the frequency of getting sick and increases the moments of feeling well.

The first medicine you ever receive is the food we eat. Each item either allows the body to function, or inhibits it.

The standard American diet has taken you away from the true purpose of food. Food has become a form of entertainment. Not that I am against food being enjoyable but food has a purpose.

If the body is fed the proper food, the body will establish a state of wellness and vitality and the appetite will be quenched.

Getting to one’s perfect eating regime requires small steps.

It requires a gradual honing of the food eaten on a daily basis, so that the body begins to clean and clear itself. As the body unclutters itself, problems start to disappear that you have been troubles with for years. As the body changes, the appetites change too. You will crave (and enjoy) the foods you may now dislike.

…“Today, more than 95% of all chronic disease is caused by food choice, toxic food ingredients, nutritional deficiencies and lack of physical exercise.” – Mike Adams, author, investigative journalist, educator

…“To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art.” -La Rochefoucauld

…“He that takes medicine and neglects diet wastes the skills of the physician.” – Chinese proverb

…“Unfortunately, everything the experts tell us about diet is aimed at the whole population, and we are not all the same.” -The Scientist magazine

…“Don’t eat anything your great-great grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food. There are a great many food-like items in the supermarket your ancestors wouldn’t recognize as food (Go-Gurt? Breakfast-cereal bars? Nondairy creamer?); stay away from these.” -Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore’s Dilemma

…“Diet is the essential key to all successful healing. Without a proper balanced diet, the effectiveness of herbal treatment is very limited.” – Michael Tierra, C.A., N.D.

…“Those who think they have no time for healthy eating, will sooner or later have to find time for illness.” – Edward Stanley
